Membership benefits Any association only really works if the people that belong to it contribute for mutual benefit. The Gyroplane association should provide the opportunity for pilots to exchange information for their mutual safety and enjoyment. Membership to SAGPA holds the following benefits:
- SAGPA website
- Affiliation to Aero Club as the current popularly recognised body that represents sports aviation South Africa
- Planned affiliation to an Aviation Recreation Organisation as regulated by NPL - Part 62
- A central elect-in mailing list for information exchange and pilots interested in online “hanger-talk”
- A Committee of volunteers dedicated to utilise the collective efforts of the members, manufacturers, suppliers and aviation organisations to make the sport safe and enjoyable

After a number of requests the commitee agreed to allow Student Pilot and International membership. This membership will hold the same priviledges and benefits as a full membership with the exception that student and international members will not be able to vote at a SAGPA General meeting.
